Background of Yoshinori Ohsumi Fund and This Grant
After Honorary Professor Yoshinori Ohsumi was awarded the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 2016, a fund was set up in his name to broaden the base of researchers and to foster talented individuals who will serve as a foundation for Japan in the future.
