Promoting Interdisciplinary Research

Interdisciplinary Matching Events for Researchers

We strive to promote world-class excellence in our researchers' activities, which in turn enhances the university's overall research capabilities. Our efforts include establishing new locations to pursue cutting-edge research, developing next-generation fields, and supporting basic research.

Tokyo Tech Research Festival

Tokyo Tech Research Festival (TTRF) is held to introduce Tokyo Tech research and industry-university collaboration and to discuss future research through presentations on projects by researchers. TTRF consists of two parts. One is held to promote interactions with Tokyo Tech interdisciplinary researchers (for students and faculty) and the other is held to introduce Tokyo Tech researchers to industries (for the public). Each is held on alternating years.

Colloquium for Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration

The Colloquium for Interdisciplinary Research Collaboration was established to increase opportunities to perform interdisciplinary research at Tokyo Tech and to provide researchers with opportunities to encounter and learn together beyond the boundaries of research fields.
