Industry Liaison

Joint Work Project

Joint Work Projects are activities other than research, which will be jointly conducted between corporate personnel and Tokyo Tech faculty/staff members on specific subjects or issues.
Activities will include exploring themes for potential collaborative research opportunities, seeking problem-solving measures, and managing events.

Partner corporations bear the project’s direct and indirect expenses, as well as “strategic expenses” covering personnel (for Tokyo Tech regular employees involved in the project) and management costs.

Partner corporations and Tokyo Tech will perform joint activities as respectively assigned, at their own facilities. However, Tokyo Tech will also be able to accept relevant corporate personnel as “joint work personnel from industrial firms.” The corporations must pay an acceptance fee of JPY 71,500 per month per accepted individual for the entire acceptance period.
