Academic Presentations Workshop with Nature Research Academies

To support researchers in developing their English presentation skills, the Office of Research and Innovation will host an Academic Presentations Workshop. A lecturer from Nature Research Academies will discuss strategies for giving effective slide and poster presentations. The workshop will also include activities for attendees to improve and practice their own presentations.

Dates and Venues

Workshops will be held at both Ookayama and Suzukakedai campuses. Content will be the same on both days.

  • Ookayama Campus: Thursday, February 13, 9:30-17:00 (Doors open at 9:00)
    West Bldg. 9, Floor 2, Collaboration Room
  • Suzukakedai Campus: Friday, February 14, 9:30-17:00 (Doors opens at 9:00)

Requirements

Attendees will be requested to:

  1. Attend the full agenda.
  2. Come with three prepared slides: an introduction slide, a figure/data slide, and a conclusion slide.
  3. Bring the slides on a laptop computer for use in activities.

Application Deadline

Screening and Selection

The Office of Research and Innovation will screen applications received before the deadline and select applicants to attend the workshop. Priority will be given to applicants who plan to present at international conferences in the near future, early-career researchers, and applicants with responsibilities in instructing other Tokyo Tech members on presentation. All applicants will be contacted when selections have been made.
